A South Carolina woman told police they could ignore her DUI because she is “very clean” and “thoroughbred white,” several reports say.
Apparently, Lauren Cutshaw, 32, believed the left’s claims that white people do not get arrested if her shock at being pulled over by Bluffton, South Carolina, police is to be believed.
Cutshaw was pulled over for speeding at 1:45 a.m. on August 4. A police report says that she was found intoxicated after running through a four-way stop at the early hour, according to the New York Post.
Cutshaw is reported to have explained that she only had two glasses of wine at her birthday celebration and that police should let her go on her way. “I’m a white, clean girl,” she allegedly explained to the arresting officer.
When the officer asked her what exactly that line was supposed to mean, Cutshaw added, “You’re a cop, you should know what that means.”
The suspect also said she was an honor student at school and graduated from a “high accredited university.” According to her Linkedin bio, she is a member of the Delta Zeta sorority and is a graduate of Louisiana State University.
In his report, the officer added, “Making statements such as these as a means to justify not being arrested are unusual in my experience as a law enforcement officer and I believe further demonstrate the suspect’s level of intoxication.”
Cutshaw reportedly had a blood alcohol content (BAC) of 0.18, the police report says. The legal limit in the Palmetto State is under 0.08 percent BAC.
Despite being such a clean, white woman, Cutshaw was booked into the Beaufort County Detention Center from which she was released not long afterward, a little less clean and perhaps a bit wiser.
