A Florida man was arrested Monday for contacting his ex-girlfriend 200 times a day and threatening to kill her family, police said.

Authorities arrested Michael Taylor Debaun, 25, of Riverview, on a warrant and charged him with aggravated stalking for allegedly contacting his ex-girlfriend by phone, Facebook, and email despite her repeated attempts to block him on social media and change her phone number, the Gainesville Sun reported.

Police said the alleged harassment occurred between August 1, 2018, and September 8, 2017. The alleged stalker contacted the woman at least 200 times a day through social media, email, and by phone, according to a police affidavit.

The alleged messages became more threatening in September when Debaun threatened to his ex-girlfriend’s brother and other relatives, the New York Post reported.

“You won’t have a home to go back to,” Debaun wrote in one text message, according to court documents.

“I’m going to ruin you forever,” the message reportedly read. “I hope you’re scared. You think I’m going to let you go, but I’m never gonna. Nothing is going to stop me. Sorry but you’re mine.”

Debaun reportedly dated the woman for three years.

Debaun is being held the Alachua County Jail on $100,000 bond and is scheduled to be arraigned on August 14. The circuit court also ordered him not to have any contact with his victim.
