Police arrested a woman for driving under the influence (DUI) after she allegedly crashed her car into a wall while her young daughter was in the vehicle’s passenger seat.

The Mohave County Sheriff’s Office said that they found the ten-year-old walking down the street in Mohave Valley, Arizona, on Thursday after she placed a 911 call to report the accident, the Daily Mail reported.

The girl told 911 dispatchers that she and her mother, Darla Faye Drury, had been in an accident and that her mother told her to go to a family member’s house in the area.

Deputies responded to the accident at the intersection of Hammer Lane and Calle Valle Vista Drive, discovering a parked car next to a block wall with damage to its passenger side and rear quarter panel.

The responding deputies said Drury appeared to be “heavily intoxicated,” slurring her speech and refusing to comply with officers’ orders.

Authorities said they also found open containers of alcohol inside the vehicle.

Police arrested Drury after finding that her blood alcohol content (BAC) was .294, booked her into the Mohave County Jail, and charged her with two counts of felony aggravated DUI in connection with the alleged incident.
