White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders said that President Donald Trump would continue to fight for an end to chain migration after the New York City attempted terror attack.
“The president is certainly concerned that Congress, particularly Democrats, have failed to take action in some places where we could have prevented this,” she said in response to a question at the White Hosue press briefing from Breitbart News.
Sanders cited the Department of Homeland Security, which revealed that the suspected terrorist presented an F-43 family immigration visa in 2011.
Sanders added that Trump would continue to “aggressively” push for immigration reform that would end chain migration.
“If his policy had been in place then, that attacker would not have been allowed to come in the country,” she said.
