President Donald Trump denounced another New York Times story attempting to report details about his cable news watching habits.
“I seldom, if ever, watch CNN or MSNBC, both of which I consider Fake News,” Trump wrote on Twitter. “I never watch Don Lemon, who I once called the ‘dumbest man on television!’ Bad Reporting.”
The New York Times story was bylined by reporters Maggie Habermas, Glenn Thrush, and Peter Baker, and was the product of “interviews with 60 advisers, associates, friends and members of Congress.”
They reported:
People close to him estimate that Mr. Trump spends at least four hours a day, and sometimes as much as twice that, in front of a television, sometimes with the volume muted, marinating in the no-holds-barred wars of cable news and eager to fire back.
But Trump quickly denounced the assertions on Twitter on Monday monring.
“Another false story, this time in the Failing New York Times, that I watch 4-8 hours of television a day,” Trump wrote. “Wrong!”
The story also says that Trump drinks a dozen Diet Cokes a day and other slightly gossipy items of his daily routine.
