President Donald Trump continued to ridicule ABC News and their reporter Brian Ross for a false report about Mike Flynn’s cooperation with the Russia investigation.
“People who lost money when the Stock Market went down 350 points based on the False and Dishonest reporting of Brian Ross of ABC News (he has been suspended), should consider hiring a lawyer and suing ABC for the damages this bad reporting has caused – many millions of dollars!” Trump wrote on Twitter.
Ross was suspended by ABC News for four weeks without pay, after he tried to clarify a report about the investigation.
Ross reported on Friday that Flynn would testify that as a candidate Trump ordered him to contact the Russians, which would be illegal.
The stock market fell more than 350 points on the news.
But hours later, Ross “clarified” his story, saying that Flynn would testify that Trump asked him to contact the Russians after winning the election, which is not against the law.
Trump “congratulated” ABC for correcting the fake news and suspending Ross.
“Congratulations to ABC News for suspending Brian Ross for his horrendously inaccurate and dishonest report on the Russia, Russia, Russia Witch Hunt,” Trump said. “More Networks and ‘papers’ should do the same with their Fake News!”
