Billionaire’s Cheap Labor Lobby Behind Year-End DACA Amnesty Push

The pro-cheap, foreign labor organization New American Economy, funded by billionaires Rupert Murdoch and Michael Bloomberg, is behind the year-end push on Capitol Hill to give amnesty to potentially 3.5 million illegal aliens in the United States.

A new McClatchy report highlights Murdoch and Bloomberg’s efforts to not only lobby members of Congress to support an amnesty for nearly 800,000 to 3.5 million enrolled and eligible illegal aliens for the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program, but also bring illegal aliens to Capitol Hill to guilt lawmakers into supporting an end-of-the-year amnesty.

While illegal aliens are brought in “caravans” to protest outside the White House and cause disruptions on Capitol Hill, as Breitbart News reported, Murdoch and Bloomberg’s organization has launched more than a dozen digital ads of foreign nationals in the U.S. talking about the need to expand immigration beyond the already 1.5 million immigrants who enter the country every year.

Another digital ad by New American Economy claims Americans should be “sharing” their “resources” with less fortunate foreign nationals by allowing them to enter the U.S.

The biggest push by Murdoch and Bloomberg’s organization is to amnesty-in illegal aliens and increase legal immigration in order to benefit the business community and drive down the wages of American workers. A separate ad, narrated by a business executive, claims mass immigration was “critical” for the U.S. economy to grow.

Murdoch and Bloomberg both launched the group and now serve as co-chairs on the group’s board. The organization’s support of the amnesty deal signals a resounding endorsement from the billionaires. Also on the group’s board is Walt Disney Co. CEO Bob Iger and Marriott International Executive Chairman J.W. Marriott, both of whom have a business stake in importing more foreign workers.

An amnesty for DACA recipients and illegal aliens who are eligible for DACA — which President Trump’s administration will officially end in March 2018 — would result in a potential flood of foreign extended family members of those amnestied into the U.S. This process is known as “family-based chain migration.”

If the number of amnestied illegal aliens who gain a pathway to citizenship under an immigration deal were to rise to the full 3.5 million who would be eligible for amnesty under Sen. Dick Durbin (D-IL) and Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-SC) DREAM Act, and if each illegal alien brought in three to six foreign family members, the chain migration flow could range from 9.9 million to 19.8 million foreign nationals coming to the U.S.

For the business community, immigration enforcement and a reduction in legal immigration mean higher wages being offered to Americans, as some regions of the U.S. have seen in Chicago, Illinois, and Texas.

One of Trump’s most popular pro-American immigration reform measures, known as E-Verify, would prohibit all employers across the country from hiring illegal alien labor, further driving up the wages of Americans. E-Verify is opposed by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce and Murdoch and Bloomberg’s New American Economy organization.

There are four pipelines which multinational corporations use to import cheaper foreign workers in order to flood the domestic labor supply. Those options include low-wage legal immigrants who come to the U.S. for work; non-immigrants who come to the U.S. on any of the employment-based visa programs available; foreign nationals who are allowed to work legally on Employment Authorization Documents (EAD) – like those given temporary amnesty through DACA; and illegal aliens who enter the U.S. mostly through the U.S.-Mexico border.
