President Donald Trump reacted to the latest missile launched by North Korea on Tuesday.

“I will only tell you that we will take care of it,” Trump said, adding that he took the issue “very seriously”

“We have General Mattis in the room with us, and we’ve had a long discussion on it. It is a situation that we will handle,” he said.

North Korea launched the missile on Tuesday, their first intercontinental ballistic missile test launch in several weeks.

Trump said that the latest missile launch did not affect his current strategy to deal with North Korea.

“Nothing has changed,” he said.

Gen. James Mattis also spoke to reporters, saying that the North Korea missile traveled higher than any previous launch and that South Korea fired pinpoint missiles into the ocean in response.

“The bottom line is it’s a continued effort to build a ballistic missile threat that endangers world peace and regional peace and certainly the United States,” Mattis said.

Trump expressed regret that Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer refused to attend a meeting with Trump, congressional Republicans, and General  Mattis to talk about end of the year spending and the response to the missile launch.
