The Detroit Police Department is conducting an internal investigation after two of its officers allegedly got into a fight over a drug bust gone wrong.

Fox News reports that two special ops officers in the 12th Precinct tried to work undercover as drug dealers in the Detroit neighborhood of Andover to arrest potential buyers when two special ops officers from the 11th Precinct ordered the undercover cops to the ground.

When backup for the officers showed up to raid a drug house, the officers from the two precincts allegedly fought each other instead of arresting criminals, WJBK reports.

Sources told WJBK that the officers drew guns and threw punches at each other while the homeowner witnessed the incident. One officer had to be taken to the hospital, and the department’s head officers and internal affairs department had been notified.

The police department is internally investigating all officers involved. Officers say they would release a statement about the investigation next week.
