Former Vice President Joe Biden reportedly ripped into Hillary Clinton’s handling of her presidential campaign at a closed-door meeting with a group of donors Friday.

Biden spoke to the donors during the E2 Summit hosted by Mitt Romney in Deer Valley, Utah, Politico reported.

Biden said he knew Clinton was in danger of losing key battleground states that would cost her the election based on what he saw while on the campaign trail with former President Barack Obama for both of his presidential campaigns.

He also told the group Romney should run for Senate in Utah should Sen. Orrin Hatch (R-UT) retire.

Biden criticized Clinton’s 2016 election loss in May, stating, “I never thought she was a great candidate. I thought I was a great candidate.”

Since Clinton’s election loss, there has been much speculation about whether Biden will run for president in 2020.

Biden launched the “American Possibilities PAC” this month, and his younger brother said Biden could “absolutely” make a run in 2020, stoking further speculation about Biden’s plans to run for the presidency.
