In Washington, DC, hundreds of people lined up to get into local bars hosting special parties to watch the Comey testimony. The line quickly backed up at Shaw’s tavern where several journalists arrived to cover the party scene.
“I swear I’m here for work,” wrote Buzzfeed reporter Lissandra Villa, tweeting a picture of the line.
“By entering the premises of Shaw’s Tavern, you consent to interview(s), photography, audio recording, video recording and its/their release, publication exhibition or reproduction to be used for news, web casts…”

Union Pub was also swamped with people with lines around the corner.
Bartenders there will offer attendees a free round of Budweisers or bourbon shots every time Trump tweets about the hearing.
At Duffy’s, the lines did not seem as long, but the bar appeared to be full as Comey began his testimony.
