A brawl between two women fighting over a parking space in Detroit ended with one woman getting stabbed in the chest, police said.
Two unidentified women fought each other for a parking spot at Rouge Park on Detroit’s west side, the New York Post reported.
The incident was “captured on video and shared thousands of times across social media.”
“Authorities said a group of women riding in a Dodge Durango was about to pull into a spot when another group of women in a Buick Rendezvous took it,” MLive reports.
“Both groups got out of their vehicles and started arguing with each other” over who should get the spot when things turned violent.
The video shows the “two women rolling on the ground, violently punching and pulling each other’s hair as a crowd of onlookers cheer them on.”
Many of the spectators recorded the incident on their cell phones.
When the two separated, one woman revealed that she was bleeding, saying she had been stabbed in the chest.
“The woman who was stabbed then collapses on the ground as several people try and help her up” and the rest of the crowd breaks up.
A police officer patrolling the area took the injured woman to a local hospital where she is expected to make a full recovery, WDIV reported.
Officer Nicole Kirkwood told MLive that “she believes one other person was also stabbed” during the brawl.
Police took the two women caught on camera fighting in the video into custody after the video went viral online, but no charges had been filed against them as of Tuesday morning.
