Report: Illegal Alien Stole $1.6 Million of Gold From Armored Truck

An illegal alien from Ecuador allegedly stole 86 pounds of gold shavings and bars, worth $1.6 million, from jewelers and other craftsmen, according to reports.

Julio Nivelo, a convicted felon according to NYPD Det. Martin Pastor, goes by many aliases and has been deported from the U.S. four times.

Nivelo is reportedly hiding with his stolen gold in Los Angeles, a sanctuary city. Before, he had fled to Orlando, Florida. He allegedly snatched the bucket of gold from an armored truck in New York City Sept. 29, according to the New York Times.

Nivelo remains at large.
