President-elect Donald Trump is meeting on Tuesday with Jovita Carranza, the founder and CEO of the JCR Group and former deputy administrator for the U.S. Small Business Administration, as he focuses on who will be his administration’s trade representative.

“The President-elect made his overall trade policy a pretty big deal on the campaign trail. I think it’s part of the reason why he was so successful,” Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller told reporters on Tuesday morning.

Referencing Carranza, Miller added, “I can say that’s a position she’s being considered for.”

In support of Trump, Carranza ran a call center for Hispanic voters out of her North Carolina home. He got 38 percent of the Hispanic vote there, according to Miller.

Miller explained, “Commerce Secretary designate Wilbur Ross will ultimately direct much of the administration’s trade policy at the direction of President-elect Trump.”

Trump met with President Reagan’s Deputy Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer on Monday.

On Tuesday, the President-elect will also meet with Mr. Luis Quinonez, CEO of IQ Management Incorporated, whom Miller called a “tremendous supporter” of Trump. He will also meet with Dr. Toby Cosgrove, CEO and president at the Cleveland Clinic.
