President-elect Donald Trump met with “long-time friend” Kanye West at Trump Tower on Tuesday morning.
“This morning the President-elect met with long-time friend Kanye West here at Trump Tower, enjoyed the opportunity to catch up with him,” Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller told reporters on Tuesday morning after the meeting.

Following their meeting, Trump told the press, “We’ve been friends for a long time.”
According to TMZ, West requested the meeting.
Trump is also meeting with Bill Gates and former Pennsylvania Sen. Rick Santorum on Tuesday.
On Wednesday afternoon at 2 p.m., the President-elect will hold a tech summit.
“The President-elect has said that we need to get back to being innovators and inventing things and making things here in America,” Miller told reporters, commenting on the tech summit.
He continued:
We need to make sure we have the business climate where companies who are just starting or people who have these ideas can get out there and have the access to capital and the tax structure that encourages and fosters such innovation, and really, this is the … type of president we’re going to see from Donald Trump, where we’re leading on the world stage — bringing the best and the brightest together to constantly to go and push the envelope for new developments.
Trump will finish his day Tuesday with a “Thank You” rally in Wisconsin.
