President-elect Donald Trump’s spokesman Jason Miller calls Wilbur Ross, whom Trump plans to nominate for Secretary of Commerce, the “champion of American manufacturing.”
“Nobody has made better deals than Wilbur Ross,” Miller told reporters on Wednesday morning, noting that comes from the man who wrote The Art of the Deal.
Ross helped craft Trump’s trade message and policy when he served as his top campaign economic adviser.
Ross led Rothschild Inc., a financial advisory group, for 25 years and in 2000, Ross launched WL Ross & Co., an investment firm.
Ross graduated from Yale University and holds an MBA from Harvard.
