Former President Bill Clinton has promised to step down from the Clinton Foundation should his wife win the presidency, but that is not stopping him from hosting one last fundraiser.
The elite cash-grabbing party will be the last opportunity for wealthy donors to party with Bill Clinton and court his favor with big donations to the foundation.
Bill Clinton will be the focus of the event, as guests will be celebrating his 70th birthday. Hillary Clinton will not attend, according to a senior campaign official.
Donors will have to pay $250,000 to be listed as a fundraiser chair, $100,000 as a co-chair, and $50,000 to be a vice-chair for the fundraiser, according to Politico, which reports that the party will be held at the Rainbow Room restaurant on the 65th floor of a Manhattan skyscraper.
Clinton Foundation officials confirmed to Politico that the fundraiser is the last one before the election. Singers Wynton Marsalis, Jon Bon Jovi, and Barbra Streisand are expected to perform.
