Donald Trump’s running mate Indiana Gov. Mike Pence denounced white supremacist David Duke’s support for their campaign during a press conference at the Republican National Committee on Tuesday morning.
“Donald Trump and I have denounced David Duke repeatedly,” Pence stated when asked about Duke supporting them.
“We have said we do not want his support,” Pence declared, adding that they also don’t want support from people that think like Duke.
The denouncement of Duke comes after Pence received backlash after not calling Duke “deplorable” during a recent interview.
