Donald Trump spent several minutes lambasting his rival Hillary Clinton over her email scandal and foreign policy record at the beginning of his speech, which was scheduled to focus on education, in Cleveland, Ohio on Thursday afternoon.
“She’s got to get her act together,” Trump stated about Clinton, alleging that the FBI report conflicts with Clinton’s statements about her use of a private email server during her time as secretary of state.
The Republican nominee said that it’s more evidence that she’s “unfit” to be Commander-in-Chief.
“She put the country at risk in order to cover up her pay-to-play scandals as secretary of state,” he jabbed, referencing the relationship between the state department and the Clinton Foundation. “It’s all about hiding criminal enterprise.”
Trump also criticized the fact that Clinton’s aides destroyed her phones with a hammer, which was revealed in the FBI report.
“I’ve never done that,” he said.
Trump slammed the fact that Clinton said she couldn’t remember 39 times in the FBI report, specifically about briefings on how to preserve classified information.
“Hillary Clinton’s policies produced ruin in Libya, Iraq, and Syria,” he stated, criticizing her foreign policy record. “She failed in Russia. She failed in China. She failed miserably in North Korea. Her policies unleashed ISIS.”
He added that Clinton is “totally trigger happy.”
“She raced to invade, intervene, and topple regimes. She believes in globalism not Americanism,” he declared, adding that Clinton has been in office for decades and is “all talk, but nothing happens.”
