Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton feigned excitement that reporters are finally traveling with her abroad her campaign plane, stopping by the press cabin to welcome them aboard.
“Welcome to our big plane! It’s so exciting!” she said to reporters who asked her a few easy questions to kick off the day.
“What do you think?” asked one reporter about the plane.
“How was your Labor Day weekend?” asked another reporter.
“Happy Labor Day,” a reporter said.
“Are you glad to have all of us with you?” another reporter quipped. “Have you missed us?”
“I am so happy to have all of you with me,” Clinton said wryly. “I’ve been just waiting for this moment.”
Bloomberg’s Jennifer Epstein filmed the exchange and posted it on YouTube:
Clinton said that she would stop by later for more formal questions, but wanted to welcome reporters on the plane.
“I hope you guys are ready,” Clinton said, referring to the “mad dash” she was preparing on the campaign trail.
“Do you have a Labor Day message?” asked another reporter.
“I definitely do, if you want more happy Labor Days, you know who to vote for,” she said.
Later reporters received refreshments aboard the plane, as the plane flew to Cleveland.
