A Massachusetts woman with Down syndrome, who has worked at a McDonald’s for three decades, is retiring.
Freia David is hanging up her hat for the last time after a 32-year stint as a fry cook at the Needham, Massachusetts, McDonald’s.
David lives at The Charles River Center, a home for the developmentally disabled, based in Needham.
According to CBS Boston, the center provides job-based training, employment opportunities, and housing for nearly 1,000 developmentally disabled children and adults.
The restaurant where David works was one of the center’s first business partners, CBS Boston reports.
A retirement party will be held for David Monday, Aug. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., according to The Charles River Center.
