The NRA is spending $3 million for pro-Donald Trump ads that will run in Ohio, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.

The ads will run from the first week of September through mid-October.

According to Sunshine State News, the NRA was running ads for Trump before Trump was running ads for himself. Its total spending for such ads is expected to hit approximately $8 million.

The money comes from the NRA Political Victory Fund, which is currently running an ad that highlights Hillary Clinton’s pro-gun control stance. It says, “She’s one of the wealthiest women in politics. Combined income: $30 million. Tours the world on private jets. Protected by armed guards for 30 years. But she doesn’t believe in your right to keep a gun at home for self-defense. [She’s] an out-of-touch hypocrite. She’d leave you defenseless.”

NRA Political Victory Fund chairman Chris Cox says:

Hillary Clinton has supported the concept of confiscating firearms from law-abiding citizens. Despite what she says to try and get elected, she would stack the Supreme Court with anti-gun justices who would overturn our fundamental right of self-protection. So it is not an understatement to say that the future of American freedom is at stake in November.
