Donald Trump continued his appeal to African American and other minority voters on Tuesday during a campaign rally in Austin, Texas, and blasted his rival Hillary Clinton “who sees communities of color only as votes.”
“What do you have to lose?” Trump asked black voters, as he has been doing on the campaign trail, blaming Democrats for not helping minorities. “I will fix the problem.”
“Give Donald Trump a chance — I say this to the African American community,” he added, speaking to a capacity crowd of nearly 7,000 people. “We will turn it around…we will make your streets safe.”
“We reject the bigotry of Hillary Clinton, who sees communities of color only as votes, not as human beings worthy of a better future,” the Republican nominee jabbed, after criticizing his rival on the controversial Clinton Foundation.
“The era of division is coming to end. We will create a new future of American unity. Are you ready for real American change? It is time to emphasize what we all have in common as Americans,” Trump stated.
The New Yorker also talked about border security, as he met with the Border Patrol agents earlier in the day.
“We are going to build the wall,” he vowed as the crowd roared in approval. “We are going to enforce the law…we are going to keep our country safe.”
