Democratic Presidential candidate Hillary Clinton stopped by a Debbie Wasserman Schultz field office to boost support for the disgraced former Democratic National Committee chairwoman, now facing a difficult primary.

“I’m here to urge you to keep doing what you’re doing every single day on behalf of Debbie,” Clinton said. “I want to have her in the congress by my side, working day after day, to actually implement the agenda that we are fighting for,” Clinton said during a speech on her behalf.

Clinton praised Wasserman Schultz on the issues, but did not address her sudden resignation as chair of the Democratic National Committee ahead of the convention after leaked emails showed that she was opposed to Democratic candidate Bernie Sanders. Her Democratic primary opponent Tim Canova has been endorsed by Sanders.

But Clinton praised Wasserman Schultz for her “fighting spirit” particularly on gender issues.

“I’m here today with a very simple message, I can’t think of anyone who deserves your support for reelection starting with the primary on August 30 than my friend Debbie,” she said, vowing to support Wasserman Schultz throughout her campaign.

The two women hugged before Clinton traveled to fundraisers in Florida.
