A 17-year-old Chicago girl brought her mother’s boyfriend to his knees after she asked to be officially adopted.
Lauren Hernandez, her family, and friends had all gathered to celebrate her graduation.
Hernandez handed Joe Losco, her mother’s boyfriend, a box with a poem inside. The box also contained adoption documents that would make him Lauren’s father forever.
The emotion of the moment was overwhelming for the soon-to-be-dad, and he immediately broke down in tears.
“He’s been there for everything for me,” Lauren told WBBM.
“I’ve wanted nothing more than to be her dad from day one,” said Joe, with tears in his eyes.
