Hillary Clinton regained her lead over Donald Trump in a survey taken after the Democratic National Convention (DNC) last week, according to a Morning Consult poll.
Clinton now leads Trump by three points, 43 percent to 40 percent. Seventeen percent of voters remain undecided.
The results suggest that Clinton’s gain comes from male voters because she is now one point ahead of Trump with men — a reverse from last week where Trump led Clinton by roughly eight points with male voters.
Clinton also improved her favorability rating, which increased six points to 43 percent from 37 percent. Trump’s favorability rating, however, decreased three points to 39 percent.
When third-party candidates are considered in the poll, the poll swung from four-point lead for Trump to a five-point lead for Clinton.
Morning Consult surveyed 1,931 registered voters and the results have a plus or minus two percentage points margin of error.
