CLEVELAND, Ohio — Fox News’s Megyn Kelly is facing backlash on Twitter for sporting a low cut, spaghetti-strap top — resembling a bikini — while covering the Republican National Convention on live television.
Her news network encourages male contributors to wear suits and ties.
The scantily clad Kelly debuted just 24-hours after news broke that she alleged Fox News CEO Roger Ailes sexually harassed her 10 years ago when she was a reporter in the Fox Washington bureau. Kelly’s allegation comes after former Fox News host Gretchen Carlson claimed Ailes sexually harassed her.
Most female television personalities are told to “avoid sleeveless dresses and tops.”
“Unless you are covering a ‘light and fluffy’ event like a flower show, sleeveless dresses and tops are inappropriate and can make you look unprofessional,” note television reporters Ben Fajzullin and Meggin Leigh.
