Candy Carson tells Breitbart News that Donald Trump’s vice presidential pick, Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, will help “augment” the 2016 Republican ticket.
“My husband is speaking right now in another event. He’s being interviewed and I just heard him say it — and I believe the same — that he’s going to bring things to the table that will help to augment the ticket,” Mrs. Carson explained to Breitbart News. She’s the wife of 2016 GOP presidential candidate Dr. Ben Carson, who has been advising presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump.
She continued:
Pence has that government experience — he’s used to working with the machine. He’s got those kind of liaisons and that kind of way of thinking and he’s been able to navigate that way. Having someone that has those kind of political smarts, […] that will bring what we feel will round out the ticket to the point where we feel we’ll be able to cover everything.
“We as voters — and that’s every single person in this country that can vote — need to be registered. We need to know what the issues are and know who is going to solve those issues the best,” Carson stressed.
Trump officially announced Pence as his VP in a tweet on Twitter on Friday. The candidate will appear with Pence at a news conference on Saturday at 11 a.m. in New York City. Trump originally planned to hold the press conference on Friday, but canceled due to the terrorist attack in Nice, France where more than 80 people were killed.
