Indiana Gov. Mike Pence, rumored to be high on Donald Trump’s list for vice president, is reserving air-time for advertisements for his upcoming gubernatorial reelection campaign.
“A media-buying source said Pence has reserved airtime from August 1 through August 14, the two weeks immediately following the Republican and Democratic national conventions. The Pence campaign declined to comment on specifics, but confirmed they placed reservations for an upcoming buy,” Politico reports. “The ad buy doesn’t mean Pence is eliminating himself from the vice presidential discussion. His campaign’s last ad buy began in May, and it has not been on the air this month.”
Pence has until noon on Friday to withdraw himself from the gubernatorial race if he’s going to join Trump’s presidential ticket.
The Trump campaign is announcing the VP pick at 11 a.m. on Friday in New York.
Trump is also considering Sen. Jeff Sessions (R-AL), former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, General Michael Flynn and New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie for VP.
