For two days in a row, Hillary Clinton utilized used in her speeches a claim from a British research organization that ranked Donald Trump as the third greatest threat to the global economy.
Clinton failed to tell audiences that the firm in question – the Economist Intelligence Unit – is a division of The Economist Group, the sister company to The Economist newspaper. The Economist Group is partially owned by the famous Rothschild family. Lady Lynn Forester de Rothschild sits on the Economist Group’s board. She is a top Clinton supporter, donor and fundraiser, and has donated to the Clinton Foundation.
De Rothschild is such a staunch Clinton supporter she became a “PUMA” (“Party Unity My Ass”) activist after Clinton lost the Democratic primary to Barack Obama and she supported John McCain in protest.
Speaking on Wednesday at the North Carolina State Fairgrounds in Raleigh, Clinton stated:
And it’s no wonder that group called the Economists Intelligence Unit, a leading firm that analyses the top threats to the global economy, now ranks a Trump Presidency number three, right behind problems in china, and volatility in the commodities markets.
And on Tuesday, Clinton similarly said:
One of the leading firms that analyzes the top threats to the global economy, called the Economist Intelligence Unit, comes out with a new list of threats every month. It includes things like terrorism and the disintegration of Europe. And this month, number three on the list is Donald Trump becoming president of the United States.
The Economists Intelligence Unit’s assessment made headlines earlier this month. It reportedly marked the first time the firm rated a U.S. presidential candidate’s election as a global risk.
The Rothschilds, led by de Rothschild, have long been shareholders in the Economist Group. In 2015, they reportedly purchased a 21 percent controlling stake.
De Rothschild has held numerous fundraisers for Clinton in her homes.
In 2015, she traveled with Bill and Chelsea Clinton to visit five of the Clinton Foundation’s initiatives in Africa. She is a Clinton Foundation donor.
