On Monday night, Hillary Clinton’s social media manager, Emmy Bengtson, tweeted the National Rifle Association (NRA) to say, “F**k Off.”

The Daily Mail reports that the tweet was in response to “Gun Laws Don’t Deter Terrorists,” an op-ed written by Chris W. Cox, the executive director of the NRA.

Cox used the article to criticize Clinton and Obama’s knee-jerk calls for more gun control in the wake of the Orlando terror attack. He wrote, “They are desperate to create the illusion that they’re doing something to protect us because their policies can’t and won’t keep us safe.”

He added, “This transparent head-fake should scare every American, because it will do nothing to prevent the next attack.”

Bengtson responded to Cox by tweeting, “F**k Off.”

On the morning of June 13, Clinton responded to the Orlando terror attack by saying we need to increase Muslim outreach and ban “assault weapons.”
