President Barack Obama made his official endorsement of Hillary Clinton public Thursday afternoon, but he already filmed the video endorsement two days earlier.
“I believe it was during the day, but it certainly was after a number of your news organizations had declared Hillary Clinton the presumptive Democrat nominee for president,” Earnest said, referring to the call made by the Associated Press on Monday evening.
White House Press Secretary Josh Earnest confirmed that Obama filmed the video on Tuesday, before Hillary Clinton’s historic speech claiming the Democratic nomination and before the results of the Democratic voters in six states were reported.
The campaign video was filmed at the White House, but was not filmed at government expense, according to Earnest.
