Democrat-run New Orleans witnessed 23 armed robberies and two homicides during Memorial Day weekend.
According to The New Orleans Advocate, the 23 robberies produced 35 victims. The robberies also include carjackings.
The two homicides resulted from “a double murder” that took place in Broadmoor just before noon on Memorial Day. Names of the dead were not released, but police did indicate one of the victims was 18 years old.
The last shooting of the holiday weekend occurred Monday afternoon, when “a 35-year-old man” in the 7th Ward was shot.
The news of the Memorial Day weekend violence in Democrat-run New Orleans comes on the heels of news that Democrat-run Chicago witnessed 40 weekend shooting victims, with four fatalities by Sunday morning alone.
