Donald Trump Would 'Love to' Debate Bernie; Sanders Responds: 'Game On'

Presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump says he would “love to” debate Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT). Sanders responded, saying, “Game on.”

“How much is he going to pay me?” Trump joked during an appearance Wednesday night on ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel Live. “If I debated him, we should have such high ratings, and I think I should give — take that money and give it to some worthy charity, OK?”

“That could happen, I’ve been saying that should happen anyway,” Trump added. “If he paid a nice sum for charity, I would love to do that.”

Following Trump’s response, Sanders took to Twitter and said, “Game on.”

“I look forward to debating Donald Trump in California before the June 7 primary,” Sanders posted.
