Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump is taking partial credit for Budweiser’s decision to brand its beer as “America,” part of a summer marketing stunt.
Trump was asked On Fox and Friends whether his patriotic campaign slogan may have inspired Budweiser’s campaign.
“I think so,” Trump replied. “They’re so impressed with what our country will become, that they decided to do this before the fact.”
The ad campaign will feature patriotic labeling in red and white.
“We thought nothing was more iconic than Budweiser and nothing was more iconic than America,” creative director Tosh Hall from the can’s branding firm told Fast Company.
