GOP frontrunner Donald Trump clarified recent statements he’s made about who he would choose as vice president.
During a recent interview with USA Today, Trump mentioned Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL), Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker and Ohio Gov. John Kasich as people who could serve as vice president.
“No, I said they’re people I like,” Trump clarified to Anderson Cooper during CNN’s town hall on Tuesday. “I think they’re nice, but I can’t imagine they like me too much.”
“I like them as people,” he said.
“I don’t necessarily think for vice president,” he added, suggesting may be they could be involved in other aspects of the administration.
“You don’t need two like me,” Trump told Cooper, saying he wants someone who has been involved with politics and can deal with Congress to be his vice president.
