Leftwing comedian and actress Sarah Silverman released a video on Monday defending socialism and explaining why she supports Sen. Bernie Sanders over Hillary Clinton in the Democratic primary.
“If you vote or not, that’s not my business, I’m not your mommy,” Silverman began. “Though like your mommy, I have a completely full bush.”
The feminist comedian, who previously said all men are potential rapists, then acknowledged that she was once a Clinton supporter, but switched over to Sanders because she shares his socialist views on free college tuition and raising the federal minimum wage to $15 an hour.
“I’m a feminist. Democratic woman president? Yes please!” Silverman said of her past Clinton support.
Calling out Hillary for taking large donations from “big money,” the pro-abortion activist praised Sanders for raising over $100 million from more than five million individual donors.
“He proved that what is right can also be possible,” she said. “This man is running for president on a platform that is just a giant ‘f—k you’ to the above-the-law billionaire class who have been controlling government policy with their money and not paying a nickel in taxes through government loopholes they secure with said money.”
Silverman further stated she feels Sanders is running on a platform of “making the untouchably rich accountable for their fair share of taxes,” she said, while admitting: “Yeah, he is a socialist democrat.”
“He just believes that people who don’t have the same advantages as you and me should be given the same advantages as you and me,” she continued. “Good lord, don’t worry! Under President Sanders, you can still become a super-rich asshole. It’s just that your fellow citizens don’t have to feed their children cat food in order for you to do it.”
“Fire fighters? Is that something you like to have around?” she said. “That’s socialism. That’s a socialized program. That’s a program the government pays for so everyone can have it. Not anti-American. In fact, it’s wildly American.”
“Every politician takes money from big money, ever since it was made legal through Citizens United,” Silverman explained. “It’s legalized corruption. If all the other ball players are taking steroids, you have to take steroids too to compete, right?”
Silverman concluded her video by calling Sanders a “once in a lifetime candidate,” and warned voters: “Don’t be sucked into a rigged American Dream ponzi scheme that was never intended to include you. Vote.”
