GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is opening a Washington, D.C. office.
According to the Trump campaign press release, the purpose of the D.C. office will be “to coordinate his campaign’s work with the Republican National Committee, Congress, and his convention and delegate operations.”
It will also serve as a channel for the Trump campaign’s national outreach.
Trump also named Paul J. Manafort as his campaign’s Convention Manager.
“Manafort is volunteering his considerable insight and expertise because of his belief that Mr. Trump is the right person for these difficult times. He will be responsible for transitioning the Trump campaign’s activities as they relate to Mr. Trump’s nomination at the convention in Cleveland, Ohio,” the press release read.
Manafort’s experience includes more than three decades of working on presidential campaigns and conventions for Presidents Ford, Reagan, George H.W. Bush as well as Republican nominee Bob Dole.
