Gov. Scott Walker (R-WI) said Sunday on “The Cats Roundtable” on AM 970 in New York City that he will make his endorsement for president later this week, around four to five days before his state’s upcoming primary.
“I’ll probably [endorse] later this coming week, so sometime late this week. Probably four to five days before [the primary],” Walker said. “We’re looking at the different options out there.”
Predicting the race would “go down to the wire,” the former presidential candidate added that Kasich supporters could be huge for getting Cruz “over the hump.”
“I think for a number of those voters, they’ll say well if their vote is not going to get him to be the winner come the convention, where do they want to cast, and my guess is that if a fair number of them break off it might actually help Cruz get over the hump,” he said.
