Wednesday on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe,” host Joe Scarborough reacted to the news that former Gov. Jeb Bush (R-FL), who was a candidate for the 2016 GOP presidential nomination, endorsed Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) for president.
Scarborough argued it was a late gesture and may have been more of a “knock” on Republican presidential front-runner Donald Trump and former GOP presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) than to support Cruz.
“A big endorsement that means Jeb may have done it about a month late – I don’t know if it’s all baked in the cake,” Scarborough said. “Chris Cilizza, it does seem interesting that he waited as long as he did. You almost wonder whether he did it in part as a knock to Donald Trump and Marco Rubio than in support of Ted Cruz, who he doesn’t support on so many fronts. You can’t even count the ways.”
