Monday on Fox Business Network’s “Mornings with Maria,” the chair of Democratic National Committee Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz (D-FL) said the controversy created when Hillary Clinton used an unsecured private email server during her tenure as secretary of State will not be a factor in the 2016 presidential election.
Wasserman Schultz said, “She handled the email process correctly and according to the letter of the law…She’s actually said if she had to go back and do it again, she would not have used private email. But In terms of what she was doing with compliance, that she was compliant.”
She added, “She has released 55,000 pages of emails. This election is not about Hillary Clinton’s emails. Her opponent Bernie Sanders said that. It’s about whether or not we’re going to be able to help people who feel like they’re not on the firmest ground right now have more confidence and be able to make sure that they can help their kids be better off and make sure that they can reach the middle class.”
