Rafael Cruz, the father of Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) tells Stephen K. Bannon that America needs a “servant leader, someone who realizes that we don’t work for the government, the government works for us.”
“The problem with America is not that we need to make more deals,” Cruz explained on Breitbart News Daily. “The problem with America is the deals that have been made behind closed doors on the backs of the American people. We need to get back to a servant leader, someone who realizes that we don’t work for the government, the government works for us. Someone who is truly a servant of we the people.”
Cruz praised his son Ted for being the type of presidential candidate that will appoint, “justices that abide by the constitution and the rule of law and won’t legislate from the bench.” He warned that,”If we appoint another liberal justice we will lose all those freedoms for perhaps a generation.”
Cruz also argued that his son is trustworthy and will keep his campaign promises.
“Two things about Ted Cruz. Number one: He will always tell you the truth and number two, he will do exactly what he said he was going to do. He has done that one hundred percent of the time. Everything he promised the people of Texas that he would do when he got to the Senate is exactly what he has done.”
