The latest Washington Post/Univision poll shows that Sen. Marco Rubio and Donald Trump lead the field among Republican Hispanics.
Thirty-four percent of Republican Hispanic voters choose Rubio, who leads the field by 12 points. Trump is in second place, earning 22 percent support, while Cruz is third at 21 percent. (Those who selected Jeb Bush, were designated according to their second choice after the Florida governor dropped out).
Rubio has a net favorable rating among all Hispanic voters — 45 percent vs 37 percent unfavorable. Cruz’s total favorables were 39 percent while 44 percent viewed him unfavorably.
But Trump has enormous unfavorables — 80 percent of those polled showed a negative opinion of the billionaire presidential candidate and only 16 percent viewed him favorably.
Marco Rubio also led the Republican field among Hispanics who were asked to choose between him and Hillary Clinton.

The poll also showed that Hispanics selected the economy as the most important issue followed by immigration in second place.
Thirty-three percent cited the economy, immigration was at 17 percent, followed closely by education at 16 percent.
Overall, however, 82 percent of Hispanic voters favored the notion of the next president supporting a path to citizenship for illegal immigrants.
The poll was conducted by telephone February 11-18, 2016, among 1,200 Hispanic voters in the U.S.
