Jermaine Jackson lashed out at Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump on Friday after Trump said his brother Michael Jackson lost his confidence after a series of botched cosmetic procedures.
During Thursday night’s CNN Republican town hall in South Carolina, Trump spoke about his relationship with the late pop music icon. Describing Jackson as a “very good friend of mine” to moderator Anderson Cooper, Trump said Jackson had struggled with losing his self-confidence in the years leading up to his sudden 2009 death.
“Because very few people got to know Michael Jackson but he was an unbelievably talented guy and he lost his confidence,” Trump said. “He lost all his confidence. Honestly because of bad, bad, bad surgery. He had people that did numbers on him that was just unbelievable.”
Added Trump, “And when you lose your confidence in something you can even lose your talent.”
