Report: GOP Field Spends $35 Million on Ads in South Carolina, Jeb Bush Tops List

GOP presidential candidate former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has spent more than anyone else in the GOP field in Iowa, New Hampshire and now South Carolina on television and radio advertisements.

Meanwhile, GOP frontrunner Donald Trump is getting far more bang for the buck. In South Carolina, he’s spent roughly half he did in both Iowa and New Hampshire to build his lead.

The remaining six GOP candidates in total spent more than $35 million on television and radio advertisements in South Carolina, according to a Morning Consult report.

Here’s Morning Consult’s breakdown in South Carolina from early 2015 through today:

In Iowa and New Hampshire, Trump spent a little more than $3.5 million dollars, but in South Carolina, Trump has only spent $1.8 million on radio and television advertisements.
