Republican presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) has a new ad out in South Carolina that says, “When it comes to appointing a Supreme Court justice, “We cannot trust Donald Trump.”
“Life, marriage, religious liberty, the Second Amendment. We’re just one Supreme Court justice away from losing them all,” the ad says.
The ad also hits Trump on the issue of abortion.
The ad plays a 1999 interview of Trump in which the late NBC anchor Time Russert asks Trump whether a hypothetical President Trump would “ban partial-birth abortions?”
“Well, look, I’m very pro-choice,” Trump responds.
“But you would not ban it?” Russert asks again.
“No, I am pro-choice in every respect,” Trump says.
The ad ends with: “We cannot trust Donald Trump with these serious decisions.”
