Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) interviewed with Fox News Channel’s Chris Wallace on “Fox News Sunday,” and the Democratic presidential hopeful remembered U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin, who passed away in his sleep Saturday.
Although Sanders explained he had “very different points of view” than Justice Scalia, he respected him because he was “willing to come under public scrutiny and serve” the country.
“Well, clearly, he was a brilliant man. A very colorful man. A very outspoken man,” Sanders said. And I happen to respect people who are willing to come under public scrutiny and serve their country. So you’re right, Chris, he and I had very different points of view, but I respect people who are willing and prepared to serve their country.”
