Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has drafted a pair of A-list supporters to help her woo back voters, after being routed by Sen. Bernie Sanders in New Hampshire.
Elton John and Katy Perry will headline a fundraising concert for Clinton at Radio City Music Hall in New York on March 2, which is the day after Super Tuesday.
The duo will be joined by R&B singer Andra Day at the concert, which has been dubbed “I’m With Her.”
Clinton first shared news of the fundraising event on Twitter Friday.
“Excited to announce the #ImWithHer concert at Radio City with @katyperry, @eltonofficial, & @AndraDayMusic! Join us,” she wrote.
TheWrap reports “I’m With Her” will feature Hillary Clinton, former president Bill Clinton and the couple’s daughter Chelsea.
Tickets for the concert will start at $125 each, and proceeds will benefit the Hillary Victory Fund, which is an organization that divides funds between Clinton’s campaign and a number of smaller state Democrat groups.
While many stars have defected to Clinton’s rival, socialist Sanders in the Democratic Primary, Perry and the veteran British singer have remained loyal to the former Secretary of State.
Perry shared information about the upcoming concert with her 80 million Twitter followers on Friday, writing, “HILL. YES. We’re with her!”
Elton John has not yet commented on the upcoming Hillary fundraiser; however, he has spoken highly of her in the past.
In 2013, the singer told the Associated Press, “I’ve always been a big Hillary fan. I hope she’s the next American president.”
John added: “She’s a great human rights campaigner for people of color, for people of [varied] sexual orientation.”
