Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina reacted to remarks by former Secretary of State Madeline Albright about there being a “special place in hell” for women who don’t help other women while campaigning for Democratic presidential candidate former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton on Monday’s “John Gibson Show” on Fox News Radio.
Fiorina said, “[T]hat’s kind of what the left has been saying for a long time, that it’s only if you agree with them, it’s only if you support their orthodoxy that you count. That’s why they have this war on women, that’s why my candidacy has been called an offense to women by pro-abortion groups.”
She added, “[W]omen, like men, should be free to choose our own lives, choose our own opinions, choose our own candidates. I’m asking people to choose me, not because I’m a woman, although I’m very proud to be one, I’m asking them to choose me because I’m the most qualified candidate to win this race and to do this job.”
Fiorina further stated that she has the same pitch to both men and women.
