As Breitbart News noted the morning after last week’s Iowa Caucus, history occurred in the Ethanol State. For the first time ever a Hispanic won a presidential primary. In fact, between Ted Cruz’s 28% victory and Marco Rubio’s impressive 23% third place showing, a majority of 51% of Iowa’s total vote went to Hispanic candidates. Nevertheless, using a deafening silence, this historic “first” was conspicuously ignored by our DC Media.
No matter how silly, if only to remind Americans that we are still RacistSexistHomophobes, the DC Media loves to announce “firsts.” How bizarre, then, that such a thing would be ignored by the same people who celebrate “firsts” with the exhausting authoritarianism of the lonely lady at your local cubicle farm who regularly bleeds you into chipping in for so-and-so’s BirthdayShowerFarewellPromotionRetirementParty.
Thankfully, we have The New York Times to enlighten us. In an op-ed the oh-so progressive Times saw fit to print, we are told the truth: Cruz and Rubio both fail the DC Media’s racial purity test:
How is that not being celebrated as historic or at least worth a headline for a day or two?
The answer is not that complicated: Neither Mr. Cruz nor Mr. Rubio meets conventional expectations of how Latino politicians are supposed to behave.
And guess who is the unelected arbiter of such things? Detestable liar Jorge Ramos:
No less an arbiter than Jorge Ramos, the Univision anchor, seemed to condemn them without naming names in a column last month. “There is no greater disloyalty than the children of immigrants forgetting their own roots. That is a betrayal,” he wrote. It is criticism that echoes the rhetoric aimed at Justice Clarence Thomas of the Supreme Court and other successful members of minority groups who are perceived as failing to uphold their own group’s interests.
Going back to slavery and segregation, this is who Democrats have always been and always will be.
To hold on to power, minorities are given two choices by the Left: They can either think “correctly” or be punished.
According to Democrats, Ted Cruz and Marco Rubio don’t have their “minds right,” so they must be “taught a lesson” through the “accepted” behavior-conditioning methods of our time. In the times of slavery and segregation, whippings and lynchings were used to condition non-whites who threatened the political power of Democrats. Today, the approved methods involve shunning, shaming, and questioning the racial identity of anyone who strays from the Thought Plantation.
Clarence Thomas, Herman Cain, and Ben Carson have all faced racially-motivated attacks from the very same DC Media that gave the “approved” Barack Obama a total pass, despite his relationship with a domestic terrorist and a 20 year mentoring in the church of a racist preacher.
The racially-motivated attacks on Cruz and Rubio are nothing new, either. Among others, BuzzFeed, Univision, ABC News, The New Yorker, and NBC News, have all spent more than a year laying the foundation to strip both Republicans of their racial identity. The DC Media understands the political power of firsts and how important it is to award those firsts only to their allies in the Democrat Party.
Ted Cruz is his own man.
Marco Rubio is his own man.
The DC Media cannot allow such things. “Those boys best git’ their minds rights or we gunna do sumpthing about it!”
